We have 3 veterinarians that understand every pet has individual healthcare needs and we strive to partner with our clients to meet those needs. Our full-service hospital cares for patients in Walkertown, Kernersville, Walnut Cove, Winston-Salem, and the surrounding areas of North Carolina. Our hospital is committed to offering our patients the latest in veterinary medicine, equipment, and technology. We have a state-of-the-art facility with a complete in-house laboratory, 2 digital radiology units, modern surgical suite with the ability to perform complex and orthopedic procedures, a class IV therapy laser and more!

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while supporting our veterinarians and clients.

Assist in the triage of incoming patients, assessing their condition and prioritizing careRestrain and handle animals safely during examinations and proceduresCollect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimensPerform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays and ultrasoundsProvide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stabilityAdminister medications as prescribed by veterinariansCommunicate treatment plans effectively with pet owners, ensuring they understand care instructionsPrepare animals and equipment for surgical proceduresAssist in anesthetic management during surgeriesMaintain a clean and organized work environmentCollaborate with the veterinary team to ensure optimal patient careStay updated on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices

QualificationsWe're Looking For:
A Registered Veterinary Technician with an active license required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but not requiredConsistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shiftsAvailability to work weekendsExcellent client communication and medical record management skillsComprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operationsExpertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniquesProficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimensExperience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plusExperience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoringCommitment to professional ethics and continuous learningAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazardsThe ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and unwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinary setting.
