Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care, assist veterinarians during procedures, and ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Your expertise will help create a positive environment for pets and their owners while supporting the overall health and well-being of our animal patients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your veterinary skills in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with a wide range of medical procedures, including surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic imaging such as radiology and X-ray procedures. Perform animal restraint, handling, and positioning to ensure safe and effective examinations and treatments. Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, phlebotomy, sample processing, and diagnostic testing to support accurate diagnoses. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols while monitoring patient responses. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and when handling sterile equipment to prevent infections. Operate medical equipment such as anesthesia machines, radiology devices, and laboratory analyzers with precision. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up care to foster trust and understanding. Qualifications Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar veterinary support role with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Strong kennel experience along with dog handling skills; familiarity with animal husbandry practices is essential. Experience in veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, or intensive care environments is highly desirable. Proficiency in veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment management. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures including X-ray operation and radiology diagnostics. Ability to perform IV insertion, vascular access, animal catheterization, and anesthesia monitoring confidently. Excellent animal handling skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced situations. Pay:
$25.93 - $31.23 per hour
