Job Description

Join us as an ER Veterinary Tech to enjoy: Experience-based pay of $22.00 - $30.00/hour Overnight shift differential - extra $5/hour Up to a $7,500 relocation allowance
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
To become our ER Veterinary Tech, you'll need: Graduation from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program Advanced technical skills in digital radiography, ultrasound imaging, IDEXX lab equipment, anesthetic ventilation, endoscopy, CT, dialysis, and ventilation You must also meet at least one of the following: Veterinary technology certification or licensure Experience working in a veterinary practice or in emergency veterinary medicine
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Our ER Veterinary Techs typically work varied schedules 3 days per week . Preference will be given to candidates who can work overnights and weekends! You'll be working in the exciting, fast-paced emergency department, collaborating with our veterinary team to skillfully care for whatever cases come your way. As pets arrive, you'll triage cases to maximize success. With a compassionate spirit, you'll help veterinarians perform a wide range of treatments, from IV therapy and wound care to feeding tube management, patient assessments, and more. You'll assist with highly technical tasks such as placing catheters, collecting lab samples, and performing blood/plasma transfusions while treating every animal carefully to minimize discomfort. This is an excellent opportunity to learn on the job, as you'll build your confidence and capabilities in radiography, anesthesia, critical care monitoring, long-term ventilation, and other specialized veterinary areas. You'll also run in-house lab tests (CBC, blood gas analysis, cytology, etc.), making sure to treat samples properly and accurately read results. As we discharge patients, you'll respectfully communicate with clients and provide the most compassionate service possible.
