Meredith Place Veterinary Emergency Lead Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Full-Time | 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM |
Includes Weekends Pay Range:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to play a key leadership role within our clinical team. This position supports exceptional patient care while overseeing daily technician operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring clinical excellence. Clinical Leadership & Patient Care The Lead Veterinary Technician serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and liaison between technicians, veterinarians, and management.
Responsibilities include:
Perform all Veterinary Technician duties at a high level: Patient restraint and nursing care Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgical assistance and dental procedures Radiology and diagnostics Medication preparation and administration Serve as a clinical resource for technicians and assistants during appointments, procedures, and surgeries Ensure compliance with medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Assist veterinarians with complex cases and procedures Support workflow and efficiency within the technician team Mentor and guide technicians and assistants to maintain high clinical standards Act as liaison between clinical staff and leadership What We're Looking For Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) — required Prior leadership or senior technician experience strongly preferred Strong emergency/critical care experience preferred Advanced anesthesia and monitoring skills Excellent communication and team leadership abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Passion for mentoring and supporting team growth Benefits We believe in taking care of our team as well as we care for our patients.
