Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgical & Room Technician with at least two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures, providing high-quality care to our animal patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. We truly care about our patients and staff and always go the extra mile for them both. The schedules are set so our staff can have a proper work/life balance. Most staff are scheduled for 4 days a week and a half of a day every other Saturday. The hospital is staffed appropriately, so our staff have the back up and support they need to practice their best medicine safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in preparing for and performing surgeries, including the setup and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care to patients. Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Perform routine diagnostics such as blood draws, lab tests, and imaging procedures. Maintain accurate patient records, including surgical logs and treatment plans. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the surgical and treatment areas. Educate pet owners on post-operative care and general pet health.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician with a focus on both room assisting and surgical procedures. Licensed Technician preferred. Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance. Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, surgical instruments, and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Compassion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Veterinary Technician Certification (RVT, CVT, LVT) is highly preferred. Experience with advanced diagnostic equipment and technology.
