As an Internal Medicine Technician at Eclipse, you'll work side-by-side with our Internal Medicine specialists in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced diagnostic technology—including CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, and dialysis/toxin removal machinery. You'll be at the forefront of veterinary innovation, performing meaningful, complex procedures that make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Monitoring:
Assist in the diagnosis and management of patients with complex internal medicine conditions, including continuous monitoring of vital signs and patient status.
Advanced Diagnostics:
Perform and assist with procedures such as endoscopy, ultrasound, CT scans, and other specialty diagnostics under the guidance of Internal Medicine specialists.
Medication Administration:
Accurately prepare, dose, and administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as directed by the internal medicine team.
Sample Collection & Processing:
Collect and process laboratory samples including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology in coordination with our in-house laboratory.
Client Communication:
Provide compassionate, clear communication to pet owners regarding procedures, diagnostics, and patient updates.
Collaboration:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff to deliver seamless, comprehensive patient care.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in accordance with hospital protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting, particularly in internal medicine, specialty, or emergency care, is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with advanced diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscopy, and CT is a plus; willingness to learn and grow in these areas is essential.
Medication Administration:
Ability to accurately prepare and administer medications and treatments in a specialty setting.
Strong Communication Skills:
Effective communication with specialists, team members, and pet owners across a range of complex cases. Attention to
