Key Responsibilities:
Patient Monitoring:
Continuously monitor vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
Medication Administration:
Accurately dose and administer critical care drugs, fluids, and pain management.
Emergency Response:
Perform CPR, administer oxygen, and stabilize critical patients in emergency situations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with veterinarians to follow treatment plans and adjust care as needed.
Diagnostic Testing:
Perform routine diagnostic tests such as blood work and blood pressure readings.
Advanced Therapies:
Administer oxygen, blood transfusions, and mechanical ventilation when necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience :
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting, including emergency, intensive care, or specialty services, is preferred.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in operating advanced medical equipment, such as ventilators, ECGs, and infusion pumps.
Medication Administration :
Ability to accurately dose and administer critical care drugs.
Strong Communication Skills :
Effective communication with veterinarians, team members, and pet owners. Attention to

Precision in monitoring patients, keeping records, and following treatment protocols.
Emotional Resilience :
Capability to handle high-pressure situations and provide compassionate care.
Team Collaboration :
Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Compensation Example Example:
Weekend Overnight Shift (Qualified Candidate) Base hourly rate: $35.00 Weekend overnight differential (20%): +$7.00/hour Additional Friday/Saturday overnight differential: +$3.50/hour Total overnight rate: $35.00 + $7.00 + $3.50 = $45.50/hour For a 12-hour overnight shift, this equals:$546.00 for the shift
Example:
Weekday Overnight Shift Base hourly rate: $35.00 Weekday overnight differential (15%): +$5.25/hour Total overnight rate: $40.25/hour For a 12-hour overnight shift, this equals:$483.00 for the shift
