Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and the ability to perform various technical tasks to ensure the health and well-being of our patients. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed. Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiography. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures. Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on at-home care. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures. Skills Candidates should possess the following skills: Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments. Experience with kennel management and animal handling. Knowledge of equine care is a plus. Strong understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology. Familiarity with dog training techniques to assist in behavioral assessments. Skills in pet grooming to support overall animal hygiene. Ability to provide exceptional pet care with a focus on compassion and empathy. Proficient in dental terminology related to veterinary dentistry practices.
