What You'll Do As an LVT or LVTIT, you will play a vital role in patient care and hospital operations, including: Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and treatments Performing venipuncture and collecting laboratory samples Placing and maintaining intravenous catheters Administering medications and treatments as directed Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery Obtaining and recording patient vital signs accurately Performing dental prophylaxis and assisting with dental procedures Positioning patients for radiographs Assisting with intubation and emergency procedures Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records Educating clients on patient care, medications, and treatment plans Collaborating closely with LVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and doctors during shifts Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment Providing compassionate handling and restraint for patients of all sizes Supporting emergency and critical-care cases when needed What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current Nevada LVT license OR actively enrolled in/working toward veterinary technician licensure with a current LVTIT license Ability to obtain Nevada licensure if currently licensed in another state Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn veterinary software systems quickly Commitment to compassionate patient care and client service Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and positivity Preferred Experience 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting Experience with: IV catheter placement Blood draws and laboratory procedures Anesthesia monitoring Surgical assistance Dental procedures Medical math and dosage calculations Critical care or emergency medicine Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift, restrain, and handle animals of varying sizes safely Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment Schedule Full-time position 5-day / 8-hour shifts required Weekend and holiday availability as needed Flexibility to stay late when patient care requires additional support Our Locations Team members may work at or support the following hospitals: Horizon Ridge Animal Hospital Stephanie Animal Hospital Henderson Animal Hospital Boulder City Animal Hospital Benefits We value our team members and offer a competitive benefits package, including: CE Allowance Sign-On Bonus Paid Time Off Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Employee Discounts on Services and Products Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunities for mentorship and professional development Career growth opportunities within our hospital family Who Thrives Here?
