HIRING LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS & VETERINARY TECHNICIANS IN TRAINING!
We are a fast paced small animal practice open 7 days a week. Our hospital offers onsite training with competitive pay, excellent health insurance, two weeks paid vacation, four day work weeks or 5 day work weeks, and opportunities for promotion from within. The veterinary industry has been unsustainable for too long, we must work together to promote quality client and patient care as well as maintain a positive work environment. Job duties are based on individual experience and training. Job tasks include but are not limited to: overseeing and providing care for in hospital patients, drug administration, anesthesia induction and monitoring, dentistry, performing x-rays, surgical preparation of patients, and minor procedures. Full and part time positions available. Must be able to work evenings (until 9pm) and weekends. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including examinations, surgeries, and diagnostics Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence across a variety of species and sizes Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures Maintain aseptic technique during surgical preparation and procedures to prevent infection Support dental care by performing dental prophylaxis, polishing, and charting Take and develop radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and assist with critical care treatments as needed Assist with laboratory sample collection, processing, and documentation for accurate diagnostics Ensure proper animal catheterization techniques are followed for treatment or diagnostic purposes Maintain detailed medical records and update patient charts accurately Requirements Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) or actively enrolled in a Veterinary Technician In Training (VTIT) program with a clear pathway toward certification Prior kennel experience is preferred to handle animals confidently in various settings Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices Experience with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in veterinary diagnostics Ability to handle dogs safely using proper dog handling techniques; experience with animal restraint is essential Strong understanding of aseptic techniques for surgical preparation and procedures Experience working with equine patients is a plus but not required Excellent animal handling skills across different species including small animals and pets in general care settings Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the veterinary team Join us if you're eager to make a difference in animal health through your technical skills and compassionate care.
