Licensed Veterinary Technician / VTIT

West Charleston Animal Hospital (WCAH) is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or VTIT to join our established and growing primary care hospital. We are a multi-doctor practice committed to delivering high-quality medicine and exceptional client care. Schedule 4-day work week (4/10-hour shifts) No overnight shifts Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and maintain a professional, positive demeanor Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members Thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Possess a well-rounded technical skill set Be committed to providing exceptional patient care and client service Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and accurately document medical records using veterinary software Perform venipuncture , catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection Process and assist in the evaluation of diagnostic tests (fecal analysis, cytology, urinalysis, blood smears) Perform and support diagnostic imaging procedures Monitor and manage anesthesia Prepare patients for surgery and provide intraoperative support Perform dental prophylaxis procedures Administer medications and vaccines (oral, topical, and injectable) Fill prescriptions and provide clear client education on proper use Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Deliver consistent, high-quality and compassionate patient care Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and more Nest IRA retirement plan Two sets of uniform scrubs provided annually Paid time off West Charleston Animal Hospital is committed to fostering a professional environment where team members are supported and encouraged to grow in their careers.
