We are a privately owned 3 doctor practice that has been AAHA accredited for over 55 years. Our doctors still love practicing medicine, and provide exceptional care to both their patients, and their owners while being very supportive and caring to their staff members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the skills necessary to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians with various tasks, ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed. Administer and monitor animals undergoing anesthetic procedures Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Provide education to pet owners regarding animal husbandry and care. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during surgical procedures. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines. Perform routine dental cleanings, take dental radiographs, and assist in dental extractions Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution. Proficiency in animal catheterization and laboratory procedures. Strong knowledge of pet care, including nutrition and general health practices. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members. Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively. A strong commitment to animal welfare and ethical treatment of all pets. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
