Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary procedures, with a passion for supporting the health and well-being of diverse species. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting where excellence in pet care and client service are at the forefront. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and animals. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming as needed. Manage animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and monitoring health status across various species including dogs, cats, and equine patients. Operate diagnostic imaging equipment like X-ray machines while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with animal catheterization, wound care, and other critical veterinary tasks requiring animal physiology knowledge. Experience Candidates should have prior veterinary technician experience with demonstrated proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and clinical procedures. Experience working with kennel environments, veterinary critical care settings, or laboratory work is highly valued. Familiarity with equine care, pet grooming, dog training, and veterinary terminology will enhance your ability to contribute effectively. A solid understanding of animal anatomy and physiology is essential for success in this role.
