In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians with a wide range of clinical procedures, ensure the comfort and safety of our animal patients, and support pet owners with expert advice. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed with precision. Perform animal restraint and handling to facilitate safe and stress-free examinations or treatments. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and promote optimal recovery. Support pet care activities including grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring animal physiology. Manage animal husbandry tasks such as cleaning kennels, providing proper nutrition, and ensuring overall animal comfort. Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and maintaining detailed medical records. Use your knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and laboratory experience to contribute effectively to clinical workflows. Qualifications Prior veterinary technician experience or relevant veterinary experience demonstrating technical proficiency. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, animal catheterization, and restraint techniques. Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs and cats,. Excellent communication skills for client interactions regarding pet care instructions or treatment plans.
