We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician who wants to work in a supportive, fast-paced small animal veterinary hospital where technicians are valued and encouraged to grow. Whether you are an experienced LVT or a newer technician looking for mentorship and development, this is an opportunity to build a long-term veterinary career with a growing hospital team. Veterinary Technician Responsibilities As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will work closely with veterinarians, assistants, and client service representatives to provide high-quality patient care and client support.
Daily responsibilities include:
Patient nursing care and restraint Veterinary technician support during exams and treatments Surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring Dental procedures and dental radiographs Blood draws, catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics Digital radiology (X-rays) Medication administration and vaccine support In-house laboratory testing Medical record documentation Client education and discharge instructions Pharmacy and treatment area support Maintaining OSHA and hospital safety standards Licensed Veterinary Technician Requirements Active New York State Veterinary Technician License (required) Strong veterinary, technical and clinical skills Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgery preferred Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and dependable attitude Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently Experience with veterinary software systems preferred Compensation & BenefitsPay $25.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience, technical skills, and qualifications Full-Time Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with employer matching Continuing Education (CE) allowance Uniform allowance Wellness stipend Employee pet care discounts Bonus opportunities Supportive team culture Growth and advancement opportunities Why Join Midtown Veterinary Hospital?
