We are currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for both experienced technicians and newly licensed graduates looking to start their careers in a nurturing and well-equipped general practice setting.
Position Summary:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will be an essential part of our patient care team. You'll assist in a variety of areas including routine wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, anesthesia monitoring, and client education. Our practice offers a strong mentorship culture, making this an excellent opportunity for newly licensed techs to build skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during physical exams, vaccinations, and outpatient procedures Perform and process laboratory tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecals, etc.) Monitor and manage anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures Take and process radiographs Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Educate clients on preventive care, post-treatment instructions, and home care Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, organized treatment area
Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) in New York State, or currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program Strong interest in general practice and preventive care Excellent communication and client service skills Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow Comfortable in a fast-paced, supportive environment
