We are growing and needing to expand our team! We are looking for licensed veterinary technicians to work with, guide, and support our growing team of DVMs!

Valhalla Animal Hospital is equipped with the latest innovations and medical capabilities. We provide wellness, dentistry, surgical, and emergency care. Many patients look to us as their one-stop for all their needs. Our clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology to optimize our range of diagnostics. We utilize laser therapy to reduce pain and recovery time in our surgical suites.

Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

A Licensed Veterinary Technician, 1+ years professional experience requiredA high work ethic and positive attitude team memberAbility to arrive on-time and ready to workSome Saturday availabilityExceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate preciselyInterpret medical records and record client history accuratelyKnowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flowAbility to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe mannerProficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skinAbility to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and testsProficient in positioning and capturing radiographs, positioning for dental radiographs are a plusProficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoringA self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillsetAbility to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiencyAdditional Information•$2,500 Sign-On Bonus Available•Pay range: $25 - $29/hour depending on experience levelWe offer our staff:
