Job Summary Veterinary Technician Position - Full Time We are looking for a full-time veterinary technician to join our small, privately owned two-doctor, integrative medicine practice. Our hospital treats small animals, exotics, and pocket pets, so we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working with a wide variety of patients. Experience with exotics is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed are just as important to us. We are VERY family-oriented and truly value our employees. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic analyses to support accurate diagnoses Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and treatments to prevent infections Conduct dental cleanings, including understanding dental terminology and performing pet grooming as needed Operate radiography (X-ray) equipment to capture clear images for diagnostic purposes Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas Assist with animal catheterization, intravenous injections, and other critical care procedures involving animal physiology knowledge Manage pet care routines including pet grooming, dog training, and ensuring proper animal handling practices are followed Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient progress in compliance with veterinary standards Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference! $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
