Job Description

Animal Clinic Northview is a full-service veterinary and emergency hospital in the greater Cleveland area known for delivering exceptional, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients and their families. Founded in 1977, our 34-doctor, 175-staff, AAHA-accredited hospital has built a long-standing reputation for excellence in advanced diagnostics, surgery, internal medicine, emergency/critical care, and client service. Our 36,000 sq. ft. facility includes state-of-the-art diagnostic technology — digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, a CT scanner capable of full 3-D reconstruction, endoscopy, laparoscopy, a complete surgical suite, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, a full rehabilitation center with underwater treadmill and therapy pool, and a 24-hour ICU. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality medical and surgical care in collaboration with our veterinarians, R VT staff, and support team. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries — preparing patients, monitoring anesthesia, supporting surgical and post-operative care. Perform sample collection (blood, urine, tissue, etc.), run in-house diagnostics and lab tests, manage laboratory workflows. Monitor hospitalized patients, administer medications, fluids, and supportive care, and provide nursing care as needed. Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment; prepare and clean surgical suites; ensure a safe, organized, and clean clinical environment. Communicate effectively with clients — providing education on post-operative care, preventive medicine, diagnostics, and follow-up recommendations. Assist with anesthesia monitoring, radiology (or imaging support), and other diagnostics under veterinarian supervision. Qualifications & What We're Looking For Active RVT certification or equivalent license as required by Ohio/state law Graduation from an accredited veterinary-technician program (or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience preferred, though new grads with strong interest and drive are welcome to apply Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and compassionate patient handling Ability to perform under pressure, multitask, and handle a physically and emotionally demanding clinical environment (including emergencies) with care and professionalism Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to interact with veterinarians, team members, and clients respectfully and clearly
