Job Description

Licensed Veterinary Technician Recruitment began on May 30, 2026 and the job listing Expires on June 30, 2026 Full-Time A Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) supports veterinarians in caring for animals by performing a variety of tasks.
These tasks include:
Patient care: Providing nursing care, administering medications, and monitoring anesthesia Laboratory procedures: Collecting and analyzing samples like blood and urine, and performing tests like urinalysis and blood counts
Imaging:
Taking X-rays, CT scans, and dental radiographs Preparing for surgery: Preparing animals, instruments, and equipment Emergency care: Responding to emergencies, controlling bleeding, and performing CPR Educating owners: Advising owners on proper care and preventive health practices Maintaining facilities: Keeping treatment areas, surgical suites, and other areas clean and organized Admitting and discharging patients: Discussing health concerns with clients, reviewing treatment plans, and entering medical records Following regulations: Following federal and state animal health laws and regulations
Requirements:
Must have a current legal license from the state of Michigan as a Veterinary Technician. Complete yearly CE to fulfill the requirements of an AAHA accredited practice (30 hours total) Desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment Dependable/reliable Positive attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Pay scale is based on level of experience and schedule flexibility
