Job Description

General Job Description:
General practice veterinary technicians represents the first point of medical contact for clients and patients needing assistance with pet care and products from Portland Veterinary Wellness Center. Managing client inquires by phone, text, email, online and in-person, technicians are high-functioning, organized and key members of our practice. Some duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Professionally greet and check-in clients and patients Maintain composure and professional delivery of services in heightened, emotional situations Schedule appointments according to protocol expectations Intake and discharge patients to clients according to protocol expectations Prep patients for surgical procedures Monitor anesthesia Update and maintain each client and patient account Assist in inventory management Attend morning rounds and be prepared to contribute Support the hospital team when extra hands are needed in any position
Qualifications:
2+ years in veterinary industry 1+ years monitoring veterinary anesthesia Excellent written and verbal communication skills Kind attitude Team player If interested in hearing more about this opportunity, please apply. We look forward to meeting you!
