We are passionate about providing the best care for our clients and patients while striving for exceptional, compassionate client communication. We also respect our team members, enabling us to learn from each other and enjoy our workdays together. We provide sick and well exams and perform soft tissue surgeries with dental surgery comprising the majority of our surgical case load. We are seeking a certified veterinary technician or a candidate who is in a technician program and will become certified to fill a full or part time position. The hospital benefits for full time employees include medical, dental and vision care, SIMPLE retirement plan with matching, paid time off, continuing education benefits and discounted pet care. The hospital is open Monday through Friday, so there are no weekend work hours and our full time employees work a four day work week, maximizing staff time off and decreasing the burden of commuting by saving time and gas. The ideal applicant needs great communication skills, is willing to learn, is detail oriented with patient care and documentation, flexible with scheduling and a team player. The technician should be experienced in client communication, catheter placement and blood draws, anesthesia monitoring and surgical prep, radiography, lab tests and general assisting. The position will require skills in all of these areas but other duties will include, but not be limited to, scheduling appointments and performing technician appointments, such as obtaining blood samples, blood pressures and administering vaccines.
