Windrose Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and confident Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! This position offers a great mix of general nursing, patient care, anesthesia, and hands-on technical work. Every day brings something new—from routine appointments and surgeries to supporting our team with a variety of cases. Experience with exotic species is a plus, but not required—we're happy to teach if you're eager to learn! About Us:
Windrose Animal Hospital is a progressive, team-focused veterinary practice providing exceptional care for dogs, cats, and a variety of exotic pets. Our hospital features a fully equipped double surgery suite with modern technology, including cautery, a ventilator, ligature, a handheld dental x-ray unit, and endoscopy. We're also a cloud-based practice , so no more juggling handwritten notes! We're proud to provide high-quality medicine at fair prices for our community—while maintaining a positive, supportive workplace where our team members feel valued and trusted. Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing and technical support for patients before, during, and after procedures Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Maintain clean, organized, and sterile environments Educate clients on patient care, medications, and recovery instructions Record and maintain accurate medical documentation Support daily hospital flow and assist with patient handling for both routine and surgical cases Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience (surgery and anesthesia experience required) Comfortable with (or interested in learning about) exotic species Strong knowledge of patient monitoring and veterinary care standards Excellent communication and teamwork skills Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred but not required Benefits:
