  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients. This role requires a passion for animal welfare and a strong knowledge of veterinary practices.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
  • Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
  • Take and develop X-rays
  • Prepare animals for surgery including animal catheterization
  • Monitor animals' recovery from anesthesia
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Provide compassionate care to animals in distress
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care
  • Requirements:
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred or Associates Degree welcome
  • Proficient in dental terminology and procedures
  • Experience with animal catheterization and handling
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
  • Understanding of animal physiology and husbandry practices
  • Ability to maintain aseptic techniques during procedures
  • Customer service relations
  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience working in a kennel environment
  • Proficiency in X-ray techniques
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques in surgical settings

$18.00
