Treatment Veterinary Technician - Overnight

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Monroeville, PA is now hiring an Overnight Treatment Technician!

Pay:

$21.10 - $40.60 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system .

• Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience
• We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.
• Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

6pm to 8am = $4.50

8am to 6pm = $3.00 Shift Differential As an Overnight Treatment Veterinary Technician, you will: Monitoring stable patients overnight , assessing behavioral changes and pain score. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues. Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels. Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients. Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
