Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of veterinary practices. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to animals. Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of our patients while providing comfort to their owners. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed. Conduct X-ray imaging and assist with diagnostic procedures. Restrain animals safely and effectively during examinations and treatments. Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian. Provide basic grooming services and maintain cleanliness in the kennel area. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality. Qualifications Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician Strong knowledge of animal physiology, behavior, and care practices. Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools used in diagnostics and treatment. Skills in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Experience as a surgical assistant and anesthesia monitoring. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners compassionately. Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred but not required.
