Veterinary Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals in a veterinary setting. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, animal physiology, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and support our veterinary team. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure the safety and health of animals. Monitor animal vital signs and behavior during recovery from anesthesia. Provide compassionate care for animals in the kennel, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred, but not necessary Proficiency in veterinary terminology, dental terminology, and animal physiology. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
