In this vital role, you will provide exceptional kennel and animal husbandry services, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for a variety of animals. Your energetic approach and dedication will support veterinary operations, assist with animal handling, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your veterinary skills while working in a fast-paced, compassionate setting. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and treatment areas to promote optimal health and hygiene standards. Assist with animal restraint during treatments and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Handle small animals including dogs, cats and pocket pets with gentle care and proper handling techniques. Monitor animals' behavior and health status, noting any changes or concerns to report promptly. Assist with providing compassionate end of life care to our patients. Requirements Must be enthusiastic and passionate about improving animal well-being and comfort. Ability to handle dogs and cats confidently and safely. Excellent animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail. Must be available for nights and weekends. Previous veterinary assistant or clinic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn.
