Job Description

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician to support animal care and research operations for a highly reputable research institution in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities for the Veterinary Technician Provide day-to-day care and medical support for animals in a research setting Assist with surgical procedures and monitor post-operative recovery Perform drug dosing, anesthesia, and treatment administration Maintain documentation and coordinate with scientists and external partners Contribute to routine lab operations and administrative duties Qualifications for the Veterinary Technician Experience with anesthesia, surgical assistance, and pre/post-operative care Comfortable handling rodents and large animals Ability to work independently and manage priorities Proficient in calculating drug dosages and understanding treatment protocols Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required Compensation for the
Veterinary Technician Hourly Rate:
$25/hr. - $27/hr. based on experience
Contract:
3-month contract with potential for extension or permanent hire
