Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing. Perform diagnostic imaging such as X-ray procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Provide comprehensive animal husbandry, including feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care. Handle a variety of animals confidently, including dogs, cats, and equines, ensuring safe animal handling and training when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and laboratory logs while adhering to veterinary terminology standards. Educate pet owners on animal care practices, pet grooming, and basic health maintenance. Experience Proven veterinary technician experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. Kennel experience with animal care and handling across different species. Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory techniques. Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology. Hands-on experience with X-ray imaging, aseptic techniques, and pet grooming. Equine experience is a plus but not required; a strong foundation in dog handling and animal restraint is essential.
