LD What You'll Be Working On Leading the veterinary technical team in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care while coordinating workflow, supporting staff development and helping maintain hospital standards. Assign and prioritize tasks based on patient needs, appointments, hospitalizations, and urgent cases Monitor patient care delivery to help ensure safety, efficiency, and accuracy Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to technicians and assistants Assist with onboarding and training new team members Establish and Reinforce hospital protocols, standard procedures, and regulatory compliance Support anesthesia, dentistry, treatment, laboratory, and hospitalized patient care as needed Help maintain accurate and complete medical records Communicate effectively with veterinarians, practice management, and team members regarding workflow issues or patient concerns Assist with client communication, including treatment plan support and discharge instructions as needed Monitor inventory levels and report supply or equipment needs Help maintain readiness of equipment and clinical areas Address workflow issues, inefficiencies, and escalation items in a professional and timely manner Promote a respectful, collaborative, and accountable team environment. Veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and other assigned support staff as applicable Qualifications Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician Prior veterinary clinical experience Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong knowledge of veterinary patient care, safety standards, and medical record practices Ability to coach, mentor, and support team development Preferred Qualifications Prior supervisory or team leadership experience Experience with workflow coordination in a veterinary hospital Business savvy and clinically skilled. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a clinical setting Ability to handle animals safely and assist with patient restraint and treatment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
