Position Overview:

This role focuses on assisting with surgical procedures involving exotic species in a mobile and hospital setting. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in veterinary anesthesia, with a strong interest in exotic animal medicine.

Compensation:

Starting at $23/hour

Schedule:

Approximately 10-20 hours per week Hours vary based on weekly surgical caseload

Work Locations:

Beck Veterinary Services office in Cranston, RI Surgical sites in: Plainville, MA Warwick, RI Occasionally Richmond, RI Future mobile surgical unit

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with exotic animal surgical procedures Administer and monitor anesthesia Prepare surgical equipment and maintain sterile environments Support pre- and post-operative patient care Ensure accurate record-keeping and communication with the veterinary team

Qualifications:

Required:

Experience with veterinary anesthesia

Preferred:

Experience working with exotic animal species Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a mobile, multi-location setting
