Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to pets and other animals. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to handle various animal species, including dogs and equines.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and treatments Properly restrain and handle dogs and cats in a safe and low-stress manner Prepare exam rooms and assist during appointments Obtain patient histories and communicate effectively with clients Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostic testing Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment, exam, and hospital areas Assist with feeding, walking, and caring for hospitalized pets Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain medical equipment Stock supplies and help ensure the hospital runs efficiently Provide exceptional customer service while supporting a positive team environment Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including dog handling and equine management. Proficiency in veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with the veterinary team. Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostics. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain hygiene during medical procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn Ability to lift and restrain animals safely Ability to perform pet grooming tasks as needed Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners and colleagues.
