Description Licensed Veterinary Technician Dentistry and Oral Surgery for
Animals Chattanooga, TN Shift/Schedule:
Full-Time $2,500 Sign-On Bonus About You You'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. About The Hospital At Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals, we provide a range of specialty veterinary dental care services to dogs and cats in the Chattanooga area. Surgery, periodontics, and orthodontics are just a few of our special services offered by our veterinary dental specialists to maintain your pet's healthy smile. We are equipped to treat all aspects of oral health for your pet, including oral surgery, root canal therapy, periodontal surgery and metal crown restorations. We use materials and techniques that are current with the latest research and published data in the field of veterinary and human dentistry. All of our veterinary dental offices use state of the art anesthetic monitoring systems to provide us with continuous readings of the dog or cat's vital organ systems. These monitor the EKG, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, oxygen saturation and amount of carbon dioxide exhaled. With these values, we are able to treat abnormalities before they can compromise the patient's safety. Our clinics are also equipped with in-house blood machines that help evaluate a pet's vital organs prior to anesthesia. You're Willing And Able To Help strengthen relationships with our clients by greeting them and their pet! Help new client's complete registration and notify them of expected wait times. Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries Maintain client relationships and service standards by responding to phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed. Regular monitoring of email and faxes. Schedule appointments, including in-office diagnostics and communicate with referring hospital staff to access patient records. Create appointment reminders, reschedule missed appointments. Maintains computer records with up-to-date client and patient data, verifies each patient entering the hospital. Maintains front desk, reception area, waiting areas and exam rooms in a neat and clean manner. Ensures financial responsibilities are met. Reviewing charges for services upon completion or discharge, ensuring accurate reconciliation of cash drawer with computer-generated reporting. Certain Benefits may be subject to waiting periods or length of service requirements. Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $27
