About Us Blue Oasis Pet Hospital is a Fear Free certified, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for pets and their families. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to Fear Free principles, values patient comfort, and excels in both clinical and client communication skills. Schedule & Benefits Highlights 4-day work week (10-hour shifts) No weekends No holidays Supportive, team-oriented environment Opportunities for continued learning and professional growth Key Responsibilities Provide Fear Free patient handling and nursing care Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, and laboratory procedures Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures Administer medications and vaccines as directed Educate clients on pet care, treatments, and preventive health Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment Qualifications Current Veterinary Technician license (LVT/RVT/CVT) in good standing Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology Experience with anesthesia monitoring and dental procedures preferred Commitment to Fear Free practices (certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail What We're Looking For Compassionate, patient-focused mindset Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dedication to high standards of veterinary care Why Blue Oasis Pet Hospital?
