Full Job Description Veterinary Technician-Mobile Location:
Austin, TX(Launches daily from your DVM's home base)
Schedule:
4-day work week BlueSky At-Home Veterinary Care provides exceptional veterinary care right in clients' homes. Our mobile approach brings comfort to pets and convenience to clients, while supporting our veterinary teams with flexibility and genuine work-life balance. Our operations team ensures you have everything you need, so your energy stays focused on patient care.
Responsibilities:
Safely drive the mobile veterinary vehicle to and from client homes. Assist the veterinarian with patient handling, restraint, diagnostics, and treatment following Fear Free® handling principles. Communicate clearly and kindly with clients before, during, and after visits.
Perform technical duties:
collect samples, administer medications, prepare and submit lab work, and maintain accurate medical records. Keep the mobile unit clean, organized, and fully stocked for each patient. Manage inventory and coordinate restocking with the operations team. Support compassionate, individualized care for every patient.
Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant with strong clinical skills. 5+ years of experience Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Excellent communication skills and compassionate, client-centered approach. Commitment to Fear Free® techniques and patient-focused care. Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently. Benefits 4-day work week for meaningful work-life balance. 4 weeks paid time off plus 1 day of CE PTO annually. CE allowance ($1,000 for credentialed technicians, $500 for assistants). Annual licensing fees covered for credentialed technicians. Compensation The base pay range for this role is $25 - $30 per hour.
