- Friday 8AM
- 6PM, and Saturdays 8am
- noon.
Job duties will include:
Ensuring that clients and pets feel welcome and comfortable Assisting veterinarians to provide compassionate nursing care Performing cursory exams, prepping animals for aseptic surgery, and monitoring anesthesia. Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing surgical instruments and equipment Maintaining accurate medical records Filling prescriptions as directed by a veterinarian, and explaining prescription directions Assisting receptionists with check-in and checkout procedures and providing telephone support Performing various laboratory tests such as parvo and heartworm tests Performing technical skills such as blooddraws, IVC placement, fecal floats, ear cytologies, radiographs, and more Following hospital protocols and procedures We are looking for someone who: Has a positive and encouraging attitude, a great team player Very detail oriented and organized Able to work efficiently and maintain work flow Has experience working in the veterinary industry as a technician Is easily trained and is receptive to constructive criticism Has a passion for building relationships with clients and petsSchedule:
Alternating Saturday shifts required ( 2- 3 a month) Approximately 30-40 hours/week
