Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services, ensuring animals receive compassionate, comprehensive care. Your skills will support everything from routine check-ups to critical care situations, fostering a positive environment for both animals and clients. Responsibilities Provide animal husbandry and animal care, including feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness of kennels and treatment areas Assist veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and positioning for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic imaging such as X-ray Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary instructions and aseptic techniques Conduct laboratory tests, process samples, and maintain accurate records to support diagnostics and treatment plans Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care and cleanings Perform animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other veterinary critical care procedures with precision and compassion Maintain detailed documentation of patient histories, treatments, laboratory results, and procedural notes Ensure proper use of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively within the team and with pet owners Requirements Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and veterinary terminology Kennel experience along with dog handling skills; familiarity with pet grooming is a plus Experience in animal restraint techniques and pet care practices to ensure safety during examinations and procedures Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and understanding of aseptic techniques Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices; experience with equine or large animal handling is advantageous Ability to operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines confidently Strong animal handling skills across various species; experience with pet grooming or dog training is beneficial Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures to pet owners clearly and compassionately We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where your expertise can shine.
