Veterinary Technician (Full-Time) Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital - Floresville, TX Just south of San Antonio Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital is seeking 2-3 experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our growing team in Floresville, Texas. We are a multi-doctor, privately owned, state-of-the-art, full-service veterinary hospital proudly serving Floresville and the surrounding communities.

As our hospital continues to grow, we are looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated experienced veterinary technicians who are passionate about patient care and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Position Type Full-Time Only (No part-time applicants will be considered.) Weekend availability required Must be available as early as 7:25 AM Monday-Friday Must be available to work until 6:00 PM or later Monday-Friday About the Role As a Veterinary Technician with Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital, you will support all aspects of our hospital operations and help us provide exceptional veterinary care to the community and surrounding areas we serve. From educating clients to caring for hospitalized patients and assisting in surgery, this role is essential to the success of our practice.

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess: A strong foundation in veterinary medicine Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for animals The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A team-player mindset and self-starter attitude Essential Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, along with other tasks as needed Assist veterinarians during outpatient exams by obtaining histories and vital signs, while providing client education Prepare patients for surgery and monitor patient vital signs during procedures Obtain blood, stool, and other samples; perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratories Take and maintain digital radiographs while following proper safety procedures Provide safe animal handling and restraint during exams and treatments Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian direction Clean and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, laboratory spaces, and medical equipment Restock supplies and assist in maintaining clean public areas throughout the hospital Communicate effectively with veterinarians, teammates, and clients regarding patient care plans and concerns Demonstrate warmth, professionalism, compassion, and courtesy in all client and patient interactions Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Previous veterinary experience required Basic math skills and the ability to calculate medication dosages accurately Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and quality care Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds independently and over 25 pounds with assistance Weekend availability required Core Competencies-Patience & Compassion Remain professional while helping clients, teammates, and patients feel comfortable regardless of the situation. Respond quickly and calmly during emergencies while maintaining high standards of patient care. Collaboration & Teamwork Coordinate closely with veterinarians and team members, provide constructive feedback, and remain open to collaboration and continuous improvement. Communication & Active Listening Clearly convey instructions to clients and teammates while attentively following veterinarian guidance and recognizing team needs. Organization & Time Management Maintain accurate tracking of medications, lab specimens, patient instructions, and workflow while managing multiple patients and responsibilities efficiently. Client Satisfaction Ensure all interactions and services contribute to an exceptional client experience.
