Job Description
We are hiring for our Frisco location DUTIES
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring to patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or licensed veterinary technician (LVT) is a plus
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Experienced in laboratory procedures and equipment
- Ability to perform basic pet grooming tasks such as nail trims and ear cleaning
- Knowledge of animal catheterization techniques
- Excellent communication skills with both pet owners and veterinary team members Must be available Monday
- Saturday.
