Lead Veterinary Technician

VetCheck Pet Urgent Care Center is looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to anchor our urgent care team. In this role, you'll balance high-level clinical nursing with team mentorship, ensuring our floor runs like a well-oiled machine.

What You'll Do Clinical Excellence:

Lead the floor in triage, anesthesia monitoring, emergency stabilization, and advanced nursing care.

Team Leadership:

Act as the "go-to" for the tech team, managing flow, assisting with scheduling, and resolving interpersonal conflicts with a level head.

Mentorship:

Train junior staff and assistants on gold-standard protocols and efficiency.

Operational Liaison:

Work closely with each doctor and the VetCheck support team to refine SOP's and improve patient outcomes as necessary.

Inventory & Equipment:

Ensure inventory needs are met while maintaining a close eye on expiration dates, out of stock notices, or short dated items. Monthly equipment maintenance is required to keep all machines and life-saving equipment ready at a moment's notice.

The Ideal Candidate Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an ER or high-volume Urgent Care setting.
