Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Large or Small Animal Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional care to patients. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, providing hands-on support in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of animals through skilled technical procedures and compassionate pet care. If you're passionate about animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, and making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners, this position is perfect for you! Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures involving animals . Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to support accurate diagnoses. Prepare animals for procedures by administering medications, cleaning wounds, and applying aseptic techniques. Handle animal catheterization, IV placements, and other invasive procedures with precision and care. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document treatment plans accurately. Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, and general husbandry to promote overall animal health. Skills Proven kennel /stable experience combined with animal handling expertise across various species. Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, aseptic techniques, and pet care essentials. Knowledge of animal care practices. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary teams and pet owners alike. Experience not necessary willing to train motivated individuals. $13.00 - $25.00 per hour
