Large or Small Animal Veterinary Technician

Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures involving animals . Perform animal restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to support accurate diagnoses. Prepare animals for procedures by administering medications, cleaning wounds, and applying aseptic techniques. Handle animal catheterization, IV placements, and other invasive procedures with precision and care. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document treatment plans accurately. Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, and general husbandry to promote overall animal health. Skills Proven kennel /stable experience combined with animal handling expertise across various species. Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, aseptic techniques, and pet care essentials. Knowledge of animal care practices. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary teams and pet owners alike. Experience not necessary willing to train motivated individuals.
