Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the technical skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed. Monitor animal vital signs and overall health during procedures. Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using veterinary terminology. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas. Participate in routine laboratory procedures, such as blood draws and urinalysis. Support the training of new staff members in animal handling techniques. Requirements Proven experience in animal handling, with a strong understanding of animal physiology. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is essential. Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor with animals. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial.
