Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support veterinarians in delivering top-tier medical care, assist with surgical procedures, and ensure the comfort and safety of our animal patients. Your expertise will help foster a positive environment where pets receive the highest quality of care and owners feel confident in their pet's health journey. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and monitoring patient status Perform animal restraint, handling, and catheterization to facilitate safe and effective treatment Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety Manage dental cleanings by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming as needed Take radiographs (X-ray) and interpret basic images to support diagnostic efforts Provide pet care including feeding, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior to ensure well-being throughout their visit Skills Extensive kennel experience with animal husbandry practices Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology Proven veterinary technician experience with animal catheterization and restraint techniques Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and veterinary critical care protocols Ability to handle dogs confidently through dog training and dog handling skills Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet care best practices Excellent animal handling skills across various species including equine experience where applicable Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
