Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic animal care team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to veterinarians and ensure the highest standards of animal health and comfort. Your expertise will help deliver comprehensive veterinary care, assist in diagnostics, and promote pet well-being through compassionate handling and technical proficiency. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining sterile environments, and providing animal restraint. Perform animal husbandry duties including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring vital signs to ensure optimal health. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage animal restraint techniques for various procedures, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Handle animal catheterization, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques to facilitate accurate diagnostics and treatments. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts with treatment notes, and ensure proper documentation of all veterinary procedures. Support pet owners with education on pet care, dental terminology, animal physiology, and post-treatment instructions to foster responsible pet ownership. Skills Proven kennel experience with a strong understanding of animal handling and dog training techniques. Experience in veterinary critical care settings with the ability to respond swiftly during emergencies. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis to aid in diagnostics. Proficiency in X-ray operation, laboratory procedures, dental terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for comprehensive veterinary support. Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
