The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with a passion for providing high-quality veterinary services. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. The work life balance is very important to our team and value your time and dedication. The full time schedule is four days a week with rotating Saturdays. Your permanent schedule will consist of a set day of the week off. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Provide nursing care for hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering fluids Conduct animal restraint techniques safely and effectively Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients Requirements for position: Have worked in a veterinary hospital as a technician for at least one year Able to proficiently obtain blood form patients and place IV catheters Have basic understanding of common medications Ability to properly run anesthesia, intubate, and attach surgical monitors.
