The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures. Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests on blood, urine, and feces
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Educate clients on pet care and welfare
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Prepare animals for surgery and monitor anesthesia
  • Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures Requirements
  • Proficiency in veterinary critical care and terminology
  • At least 2 years of job experience
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques for surgical preparation
  • Experience in pet grooming and general pet care
  • Understanding of animal anatomy and physiology
  • Familiarity with equine care is a plus
  • Ability to work in a kennel environment and assist with animal husbandry
  • Knowledge of dental terminology for dental procedures
  • Pay dependent on experience
