We ask that you bring your resume to the clinic at 3209 Knickerbocker Road for a preliminary interview to be considered for this rewarding position, or come by to fill out an application in person. •Resumes that are emailed to us or submitted through indeed will NOT be accepted for this position• The responsibilities that entail in this position include: Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals Help perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures Carry out laboratory tests The skills you will gain in this position include: Aseptic technique: Ability to maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures and other medical treatments Pet care: Proficient in providing basic care for pets, including feeding, grooming, and exercise Dog training: Gain experience in dogs' behavior Animal care: Knowledge of general animal care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention Veterinary terminology: Gain familiarity with medical terms used in veterinary medicine Veterinary technician: Become proficient in performing veterinary nursing tasks, such as administering medications and assisting with surgeries Pet grooming: Ability to groom pets, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
