In this vital role, you will support veterinarians with clinical procedures, assist in animal handling, and ensure the highest standards of pet care and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a compassionate environment that promotes health, comfort, and well-being for every animal that walks through our doors. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing. Perform diagnostic imaging such as X-ray to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide comprehensive animal husbandry, including feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments. Maintain detailed medical records, including lab results, treatment notes, and patient histories. Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to support diagnostic efforts. Assist with pet care routines such as feeding schedules, medication administration, and grooming to promote pet health. Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and assisting during emergencies. Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during surgical procedures to prevent infections. Operate veterinary equipment including X-ray machines, laboratory analyzers, and anesthesia systems with precision. Qualifications Prior experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary setting is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care practices. Experience with kennel management, dog handling, pet grooming, and dog training is advantageous. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques. Demonstrated ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques appropriate for different species including dogs and horses. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.

$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
