Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional animal care, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our canine patients, and assisting with various pet-related services. This role offers an opportunity to work in a compassionate setting, supporting the health and well-being of animals while delivering excellent customer service to pet owners. Prior experience in animal handling, pet grooming, or veterinary assistance is highly valued. Duties Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and treatment areas to maintain a sanitary environment Assist with pet feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques during examinations and treatments Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report findings to veterinary personnel Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and treatments Support veterinary technicians with sample collection or other clinical tasks as needed Experience Prior experience in veterinary clinics, animal shelters, or kennels is preferred but not required Skills in dog handling and animal restraint techniques are essential Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and medical team Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting animals or supplies) Knowledge of animal care standards and safety protocols is a plus This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with animals while supporting their health and happiness.
